Please Disturb!

Sofitel and Nespresso are reinventing one of luxury hotels’ most familiar rituals: the Do Not Disturb sign. Where guests once shut the world out, the ‘Please Disturb’ concept invites them to welcome it in

From September 1st to November 26th 2026, Sofitel and Nespresso are launching ‘Please Disturb’, rolling out across 20 selected properties, that turns the iconic "Do Not Disturb" sign into an invitation for a curated coffee and croissant pairing, designed to capture the growing demand for highly-personalised, experienced-led hospitality.

The specially designed door hanger becomes an invitation to a bespoke croissant and coffee pairing, delivered straight to the room.

Going beyond the traditional “room service” breakfast, the "Please Disturb" campaign utilises dedicated room-service door hangers, custom co-branded scenography, and live, in-room finishing gestures performed by hospitality staff, to create an engaging, luxury experience.

Co-developed by Chef Anne-Cécile Degenne, Corporate Executive Chef at Sofitel and Sacha Wittorski Coffee Expertise & Mixology Specialist at Nespresso, the menu features pairings such as Le Brûlé Pairing (Cappuccino Mousse Brûlée & Crispy Honey Cream Croissant), L'Epicé Pairing (Oat Spicy Chocolate Coffee & Coffee-Choco Exotic Croissant) and Le Tonique Pairing (Iced Orange Espresso Tonic & Paris Brest Croissant).

Available on demand throughout the day, guests can simply order their chosen pairing via in-room dining to enjoy.

Each croissant has been conceived to complement the character of its paired coffee recipe, while every Nespresso coffee creation has been crafted to enhance the aromas, textures and flavors of the pastry, capturing the true essence of French art de vivre.

Upon delivery, the experience comes to life through a live finishing gesture performed in-room, adding the sense of theater and sensory discovery. Whether it is a brûléed sugar finish, an aromatic citrus mist, or a final grating of dark chocolate and Sichuan pepper, every detail has been designed to invite guests to explore new dimensions of taste in the comfort of their own room.
