It’s no surprise then, that since the inaugural event back in 2008, an average of 260,000 spectators have flooded into the Marina Bay Street Circuit each year –with almost 400 million more watching via TV globally. 

Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton has said that the Singapore GP, ‘is always a highlight of the season’. The seven time world champion has called Singapore; ‘A great city, which looks really spectacular under lights, with the tricky street circuit below – my favourite kind of track to drive.” 

After being missed off the F1 Calendar for the past two years due to Covid it is clear that F1 fans (and not just Lewis) are excited for the return to Marina Bay this weekend (30th September- 2nd October)

Naturally, putting on F1’s showcase event is a source of pride, not only for the organisers - but Singaporeans as well. 

“From the outset, we wanted to create a memorable event that stood out from any sporting event here…This is a fantastic platform to showcase the best of Singapore – the spectacular city skyline, award-winning attractions, architecture and dining options, dynamic shopping districts as well as a buzzing nightlife’, said Michael Roche, Former Singapore GP Executive Director. 

On-track, the action never stops at the Singapore Grand Prix as, statistically, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen could clinch the 2022 World Championship this weekend – but Max has never won in Singapore and his rivals at Ferrari and Mercedes will be putting up a fight to stop him reaching the top of the podium.

Off-track, it’s parties galore, race-themed activities for the whole family, as well as live performances from some of the biggest international artists. 
This year’s line-up is one of the best-ever with musical acts including Marshmello, Westlife, The Kid LAROI, Green Day, TLC, Suede and The Black Eyed Peas all performing on the Main Stage. The drivers are clearly throwing themselves into the fun of the weekend with McLaren’s Lando Norris posing for photos with Marshmello, each wearing the other’s iconic helmets.

Drivers' Meet & Greet sessions will be held on the Friday and Saturday and the drivers will all feature in the Track Parade where they will be driven around the track in vintage cards before the race. 

Naturally, for those discerning individuals looking for the ultimate experience the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix delivers like no other. 

The unrivalled golden ticket is the Formula One Paddock Club, where royalty, industry and rock stars rub shoulders in an exclusive enclave designed to not only put each client closer to the action, but also immerse them in unbridled luxury. It is, absolutely, the finest way to enjoy F1. 

All this, before you even think about the unrivalled view of the action from the Paddock Club suites, or the daily Pit Lane Walk, where you can enjoy exclusive access to see the mechanics work on the F1 cars in the team garages. 

Of course, other hospitality options include the luxurious Sky Suites, directly across from the F1 team garages, Club Suites and the Green Room on the main pit straight, and the Turn 3 Premier Grandstand for a fantastic view of the opening corners (1-3) and the action that happens there lap-after-lap. 
After what will no doubt be a spectacular race under the lights, TLTB cannot wait to see what the organisers are promising to be a ‘spectacular fireworks display that will light up the Marina Bay skyline’ once the chequered flag is waved at the end of the race we have waited three years to see.
