The Luxury Travel Bible loves a 'Room with a View', and Andaz Liverpool Street Hotel's new year-long series of East London street art rooms can certainly offer guests one.

The five-star luxury hotel, that has long been inspired by its East London location, will play host over the next 12 months to four distinctly diverse British artists. Each artist has been invited to hand paint one of the hotel's guest rooms with their interpretation of East London's past, present or future. Each room will reflect the artist's style and individuality and allow guests to experience London's fantastic contemporary street art from the luxury of their bedroom.

The first in the 'Room with a View' series is now available for booking. 'The Pearly Room' by Londoner Chris Price is a stunning modern interpretation of his hometown in London's East End, playing homage to the history of East London's Pearly Kings and Queens.

The Pearly Room showcases an eye-catching black and white painstakingly detailed giant Pearly King and Queen proudly showing their iconic costume in a bustling market place. Hundreds of individually hand drawn mother of pearl buttons line the alcoves and market streets in tribute to the belief that in the late 19th century a Japanese ship lost its cargo of millions of pearl buttons in the Thames. Large amounts were salvaged, mostly by market traders who sewed them on to their clothes, creating probably the only form of national costume that can be ascribed to London and thereby the tradition of the Pearly Kings and Queens.

Andaz Liverpool Street's second 'Room with a View' will be painted by internationally recognised artist Patrick Vale, and launch in early October. The third room by artist ILoveDust will premiere on 3rd January 2015 and the final room by Patrick Morgan premiers on 3rd April 2015. The four 'Rooms with a View' will be available until July 2015.
