Throughout the hotel, the eclectic collection of modern-style furniture harks back to the 1950s ‘golden years’ of the Catskills, when the region became an intrinsic part of mid-century Americana thanks to its popularity as a vacation resort. The style of the hotel celebrates both the location and history of the Catskills. An example of this is the area’s long association with game hunting is referenced by a beautiful rose gold, handblown glass deer’s head positioned above the hotel’s main fireplace.

Embodying the values of a traditional country inn, the hotel’s luxury 75-rooms and 3-suites all offer views of the surround nature and feature oak floors and reclaimed timber accents and mid-century furniture alongside custom-made artisan pieces.

For those who are feeling a little more adventurous (but who still want a luxury stay) the hotel also has ten Glamping cabins. Located within the beautiful woods, the cabins feature Queen sized beds and private picnic and grilling areas next to the babbling brook.   

At the heart of the property is the lovingly resorted hand-hewn British haypress barn dating back to 1869. Originally found in Indiana, the barn was transported to the hotel and painstakingly reconstructed piece-by-piece to create a social space for events, exhibitions and retreats.

The hotel’s Farmhouse Café & Bistro’s menu celebrates Upstate New York’s impressive natural bounty using seasonal, regional produce including organic vegetables and meat, locally caught fish and farm-fresh cheese. Simple dishes ensure the attention remains entirely on the ingredients, while the drinks list features wine from neighbouring vineyards, beer sourced from local microbreweries and traditional farmhouse cider.

After a day of activities, sundowners can be enjoyed on the terrace or in the lush garden that are dotted with firepits. To enjoy a cocktail in a more intimate atmosphere, the hotel’s bar, Snug, is a perfect retreat.
