NEW OPENING: Beach villas, alphonse island, seychelles 

Luxury island eco-resort, Alphonse Island in the Seychelles Outer islands has introduced two new luxury Beach villas to their existing 22 private Beach Bungalows and five Beach Suites. Both Beach Villas are surrounded by tropical scenery and overlook the Indian Ocean and the protected coral reefs. 

The new four-bedroom Beach villas have been designed by architect Lisa Rorich, a specialist in luxury island projects in the Seychelles as well as luxury safari camps. The beautiful interiors have been flawlessly created by Andrew Irving and Mario Rodrigues to stylishly blend traditional Creole style with a modern take on island style. Reflecting the resort’s beliefs the villas make use of recycled wooden furniture, local materials and nature-inspired artwork.

Each Beach Villa sleeps up to eight adults and four children and feature four double bedrooms with luxurious island-style en-suite bathrooms and outside shower areas. Large open plan living, and dining areas include a fully equipped kitchen and lead to a sun deck and private plunge pool. A private chef can be arranged to create tailor-made menus for in-villa dining and both villas include their own golf buggy.

The new Beach Villas are perfect for families. With no malaria in the Seychelles, no cars on the island, no poisonous snakes or spiders, predictable weather and experienced staff the secluded Alphonse Island makes an ideal location for a relaxing and memorable family holiday. 

 

Alphonse Island’s philosophy is to combine of sustainable travel with luxury accommodation so guests can be assured of an unforgettable experience combined with the highest level of attentive service. 

Alphonse Island aims to allow guests to reconnect with nature while respecting it and the Island Conservation Society (ICS) team offers a variety of activities to create an island that is intimately connected to the natural environment, which guests are encouraged to join.

Activities available to Alphonse guests, many of which are exclusive to the island, include kayaking, lunch on remote St. François or Bijoutier islands, Giant Tortoise viewing, fly fishing, swimming with spinner dolphins, guided nature walks or exploring the island by bicycle. Alphonse Island has a PADI five-star diving centre from which PADI Courses can be organised.

Seven-night packages from £4,500pp per night full board, (based on four sharing) also includes Wi-Fi, a generous array of activities and charter flight transfers. Alphonse Island is a 60-minute flight from Mahé, which departs every Saturday.
