NEW OPENING: Six Senses residences courchevel, france

Opening: December 2015
WELL, THAT is next year‘s ski holiday sorted - a stay in what promises to be the most luxurious residence in one of the most exclusive resorts in the French alps. Book us in.  Six Senses Residences Courchevel opens in December and we have our eye on one of the five-bedroom duplex penthouse suites with private spa treatment rooms.  There are 53 apartments to choose from - the majority having one to three bedrooms  - so  guests  and potential owners are spoilt for choice.

This is the  hotel and spa group’s  first residential project in Europe and this being Six Senses there will, of course, be an indulgent Six Senses Spa, as well as an exclusive private ski-in-ski-out concierge service  plus all of the luxury amenities you’d expect from this renowned hotel group. Owners and guests will find themselves in the heart of this famous ski resort, one of the Euro-elite’s favourite winter destinations.

The apartment interiors have been designed by Alain Foeillet, blending contemporary styles with traditional mountain influences that celebrate the alpine aesthetic. The natural environment provides inspiration by featuring timber walls and robust beams, stone and clay flooring complemented by custom-made furniture and local art. . All interiors have been custom designed using carefully selected light materials that give the apartments a warm, comforting atmosphere. For the furnished apartments, which owners ill rent out through Six Senses, the majority of the furniture is also custom-made, ensuring that the end result is like nothing ever seen before.

For the ultimate ski residences, 10 spacious penthouses  cover 1,076 square feet (100 square metres)  offering panoramic mountain views, up to five bedrooms, specially configured wine cellars and triple aspect balconies overlooking the slopes.  The Smaller apartments have balconies, terraces, guest rooms and their own parking spaces and ski locker.

Six Senses Spa Courchevel will have an open-plan reception and lounge area. As for the spa (which opens Autumn 2016) , expect  a range of signature massages, restorative therapies, facials and body treatments  offered in five dedicated treatment rooms. The spa will also feature an indoor swimming pool, saunas, steam room, a relaxation lounge, a gym and a studio for wellness classes. TLTB likes the idea of manicure and pedicure stations near the juice bar so residents and guests can enjoy complete hands and feet pampering and a good conversation over a glass of healthy juice at the same time. Comprehensive tailored wellness experiences will also be available.

Everything from private jet access to bespoke gourmet ski guiding can be arranged by a dedicated Six Senses residents concierge, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. A dedicated ski concierge service will allow guests to ski on and off the piste morning and evening without the need to carry those heavy skis or boots a single step.

Neil Jacobs,  Chief Executive Officer of Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas, says, “We are delighted to be selected to manage Six Senses Residences Courchevel, the first fully-serviced residential development in Courchevel 1850 ”.

Six Senses Residences Courchevel is located 62 miles (100 kilometres) from the airport of Chambéry and Lyon Saint-Exupéry and accessible via TGV and Eurostar via Moutier, a 30-minute drive away.
