The Profile: Helen Green Design is based in Chelsea, London. Established in 2002 the company has grown to become one of the most influential in London.
Prior to HGD, Helen Green set up and developed Lifestyles [Interiors] Ltd, the interior design arm of residential developer Northacre plc, which she ran for over seven years. Lifestyles would 'dress' the company's million pound developments to maximise their potential.
Known for her elegant and sophisticated interiors Helen Green has designed for numerous international clients ranging from country estates and city apartments, to superyachts, hotel suites and spas. Helen Green Design encompasses Interior Design, Interior Architecture, and furniture and fabric design. Another part of the company is 'HG Living' which was launched in 2009 to offer a service providing a varied range of interior solutions for investment properties.
In 2011 Helen Green was runner-up for the Interior Award at the Homes and Gardens Designer awards (only missing out to another The Luxury Travel Bible favourite, Kit Kemp).
|
The Style: Helen Green's inspiration comes from cinema, art, history and her travels including her favourite destinations such as the South of France, Barbados, Paris and New York. Reflecting her well travelled clients and hotel guests she takes influence from international design, architecture, fashion and culture.
|
The timeless interiors by Helen Green Design are subtle, contemporary and elegant. Using opulent materials, understated fabrics and rich colours she aims to recreate the 'sleek glamour of the thirties; hushed, pristine and relaxed'.

Helen believes that interiors must reflect the client's lifestyle. Helen says, 'You start by listening and understanding your client's vision. From here, using various design schemes, you can guide them to find the best possible interpretation of their ultimate interior'.
Therefore expect to see laid back design at the Coral Club to reflect the location whereas modern cosmopolitan design features at London''s
The Berkeley Hotel.
