The Profile: Shawn Hausman began his working life as a film production assistant. (His mother was an actress and his father is a film producer). Hausman's interior design career started with the Hollywood Canteen: a restaurant displaying his ability to successfully merge set design with Interior design. Shawn Hausman design portfolio includes restaurants, luxury hotels, nightclubs and Company Head offices.

The Style: Hausman's style draws upon his previous role as a production designer. His work for hotelier Andre Balzazs shot him to hotel-design fame. The Chateau Marmont interiors were redesigned by Hausman without altering the original eclectic feel of the space made famous by its Hollywood clientele. Shawn Hausman next project for Balzazs were the Standard Hotels. The idea being to create hotels that were stylish and fashionable that had the ability to reach to a much broader demographic within the luxury hotel market. Hausman interiors have a real energy that is fresh, vibrant and playful.
