HIGH FLYER: No1 Lounge, Heathrow Airport Terminal 3, England
After locating the lounge down the winding corridors of T3, I was greeted by the friendly staff and quickly taken through to the seating area.

The sleek and stylish No1 Lounge overlooks the runway and has plenty of seating areas available. I was quite happy spending time before my flight watching planes take off in the winter afternoon sun. The layout of the lounge is much like a rabbit's warren with various rooms leading off corridors, and is divided up into dining, relaxing and working zones. I particularly liked the wall of Heathrow history and aviation artifacts, and quirky touches that pay homage to the airport location such as airplane propeller ceiling fans.

The lounge offers the use of free and unlimited Wi-Fi and plenty of charging points for all guests. There are also television screens, Tv Room, meeting rooms and flight information screens. The Luxury Travel Bible was extremely pleased to discover that there were plenty of comfortable seating options throughout the lounge. I was pleased to see that there was plenty of space to ‘set up camp’ while waiting for my flight. The lounge never felt overcrowded and was very much a quiet retreat from the hectic terminal. The lounge operates a capacity-controlled environment (and let’s face it, when isn’t Heathrow busy).

Families are welcome in the lounge, as long as the Little Luxies are always accompanied and supervised by an adult.

Guests accessing a No1 Lounge branded airport lounge can enjoy complimentary food and beverages through their stay. Soft drinks, wine, sparkling wine, beer and spirits can be ordered from the bar, but should you wish to get your holiday off to a great start, champagne can be ordered (at an additional price).

At the buffet table, the hot and cold food on offer is a well thought out range of items that travellers will actually want to eat and also a good balance of filling, but not heavy dishes ahead of a long-haul flight. The seasonal menu is constantly changing to keep frequent flyers from getting tired of the dishes on offer.

The Pancake Station is particularly popular, where the freshly made American-Style Pancakes can be topped with a vast array of toppings (much to the delight of the Little Luxies).

Guests can make unlimited trips to the buffet table and Vegan and Gluten-Free options are available upon request.

Should your airline not offer access to its own lounge, the No.1 Traveller lounge's relaxed style and friendly service is a great option when travelling through UK airports.
