LUXURY cruise: Maslina Resort’s Speed Boat

Maslina Resort re-opens for the 2022 season on 1st May 2022.

The Luxury Travel Bible always likes to arrive in style so of course we loved arriving at Maslina Resort in serious style. Having landed at Split Airport and taking a short trip to the port, the resort’s bespoke speed boat transported me in high-speed luxury and comfort to the resort in approximately hour.

Relaxing on the boat in the warmth of the Croatian sun with a cold drink, taking in the stunning scenery while zipping across the sparking Adriatic Sea, I found that the stress of the airport was vanishing by the second, setting me up perfectly for a relaxing week at Maslina.

Maslina Resort, a Relais & Chateaux property which opened in Summer 2020, commissioned their bespoke Colnago 45 TS motorboat to seamlessly transport guests between Split and Maslina. Previously guests would have to wait for the public ferry or catamaran, which can take up to two hours to reach Hvar.

To enhance guests’ experience before even stepping foot on the resort the crew will process check-in onboard which means that you can start enjoying the facilities from the moment you arrive at the resort

What impressed TLTB the most was how the boat promoted a real sense of place - to both the resort and its location, and is a wonderful extension of the theme of ‘Mindful Luxury’.

The 11.95 metres-long boat was built by Hvar natives, the Colnago family, who have a long-standing tradition in designing and building luxury boats for use between the Croatian islands and the mainland. Maslina Resort commissioned the bespoke vessel, designed entirely with these unique islands in mind.

The sleek and stylish boat is aligned with the design aesthetics of Maslina Resort and is a modern take on vintage luxury. It has been crafted with the utmost attention to the comfort of guests as the prominent lines of the boat signify less resistance to air and higher performance.  The luxury boat spaciously seats up to 12 guests plus two crew and can also be chartered to take guests to the nearby islands for excursions.

Approaching Hvar and being greeted at the port by Maslina Resort’s friendly staff is a luxurious, memorable (and exciting) way to start your holiday and it extends the luxury just a little further even when you have left the resort and are heading home.
