Not so much a cave hotel as a cave highlight, Tombolo has five thalasso pools that tunnel their way through a grotto. Each pool has been designed to perform small miracles on your body. You can try swimming against a strong jet of water in The Cross-Current Pool or you can hop on a bike-like arrangements to do aqua exercises in the main pool. But for those whose idea of well-ness involves little movement at all The Emotional Pool might be quite your thing. With a high-salinity to maximise flotation and relaxation, an underwater music system soothes any inner beast. While we’re not entirely convinced the soft-coloured lighting is an entirely sound idea, water treatments like the Aqua Cranial massage certainly are.
