This is a Top Ten that came about by searching through our iPods, asking our insiders and thinking, 'Which songs remind us most of our travels?'  There were some surprising answers - who knew Spice Girls' Wannabe could remind anyone of Uluru, Australia?

Some of these songs are about travel, some remind us of a place, some conjure up the excitement of the unknown, some we heard on holiday or en-route via the in-flight entertainment and some simply remind us that there is a big world out there and we need to go explore.

Forget a Top Ten, for this list we really needed a Top Thousand. Our original list was endless but we had to be strict and set guidelines that each song had to be travel related. We have managed to whittle the list down to our Top Ten.
