Overlooking the fairytale ruins of an earlier 12th -13th century castle Chateau de Frère in Fer-en- Tardenois has its own turrets like bookends at either side of the 16th century building. Best of all it is in the Champagne region. Currently closed for refurbishment the hotel will open again in mid 2010.
