The Ambiance: As I walked into the spa I immediately entered a cocoon of calm. 
When I visited the Myconian Avaton Resort Spa to arrange my treatment I was a little unsure as to what I wanted. My skin has been feeling very dehydrated and in need of a little pampering. 

Luckily the spa manager was on hand to recommend which treatment she thought best suited my needs. I was really impressed that she listened to what I wanted the outcome of my treatment to be and recommended a couple of options.

The treatments and spa are based around using ‘the purest resources from oceans and earth’ and products that feature extracts of plants, flowers and fruits. The spa menu features products and treatments by ELEMIS, Kerstin Florian and St. Barth. ELEMIS elite treatments are exclusively available in Mykonos at the Myconian Collection Spas.

The Treatment: For my skin type I was recommended the ‘Superfood Pro-Radiance Facial’. Described as being a nutritional boost for stressed, dull skin it is a treatment that is rich in superfoods and essential minerals. The desired result promised to be ‘restore lost moisture, deeply nourish, detox and pack the skin with powerful, energising nutrients’.
I was welcomed into my private room by my very friendly therapist, and was pampered with a series of cleansers, serums and an amino rich mask, and I quickly found myself drifting off as it was so pampering. Almost instantly I could feel that my skin felt hydrated and plumper.
My travel companion (who is somewhat of a spa connoisseur) opted for ELEMIS Freestyle Deep Tissue Massage. The Spa Manager recommended this, especially for someone who is often found sat at a computer to work out the knots and aches of a bad back.  
As he emerged from the treatment room, my travel companion declared (in somewhat of a daze of relaxation) that ‘That is the best massage I’ve ever had!’. High praise indeed!
After our treatments we took the time to lie back on the spa loungers and indulge in a plate of fruit and tea. We also took a dip in the Thalassotherapy pools - four pools of different essential oils and therapeutic salts plus powerful hydromassage jets - Very relaxing! 

The Result: Immediately after I could see instant results in my skin and complexion. My skin was hydrated and glowing. Even days later my skin still feels nourished and radiant. 
A week of Myconian Collection hospitality, great food and drink plus a relaxing day at the spa has left me glowing.
