The Group: EDITION Hotels may be relatively new to the luxury hotel scene but it has already made a big impact.

The group believes that they offer something that the luxury hotel market is missing. Located in international gateway cities the group's one-of-a-kind lifestyle hotels offer individual design, personlised modern service, high-end dining and a promise to be a 'home away from home' for all travellers. EDITION Hotels' premise is that guests no longer wanting just a place to sleep, will demand and receive, a unique experience in a hotel which celebrates its location's culture.

Expectations are high, especially when the group boldly states that: "EDITION will be completely new, different and original offering an experience never before seen in the industry. It will be the first truly global branded lifestyle hotel on a large scale, setting the standard for decades to come". From what The Luxury Travel Bible has seen so far they might be justified in their confidence.

The Creators: EDITION hotels has a strong pedigree behind it. The group is the result of a collaboration between design guru Ian Schrager and Marriott International. This partnership combines the "personal, intimate, individualized and unique lodging experience that Ian Schrager is known for, with the global reach, operational expertise and scale of Marriott" all under one very stylish roof.

The List: The Istanbul EDITION officially opened at the end of April 2011 and The London EDITION opened on 12 September 2013. The original Waikiki EDITION has became a hit with young Hollywood stars since it's October 2010 opening. Singer Christina Aguleria, model Amber Valletta, True Blood actor Ryan Kwarten and High School Muscial's Vanessa Hudgens have all been spotted at the hotel.

New Hotels: New EDITION hotels are set to open in Barcelona, Bangkok, Miami and Mexico City. TLTB will keep you updated on opening dates.
