The only ice hotel in North America, Quebec's Hotel de Glace recently began adding an enormous igloo (25 feet high x 40 feet wide, 7.6 x 12 metres) which houses a media projection room. Upping the comfort factor of a night on ice are the theme suites which have a fireplace, private spa and view of Lac St-Joseph. An ice chapel wedding is another option offered here with a horsedrawn carriage and red carpet adding to the magic. The tandem massage is pure relaxation while dogsledding and snowmobiles take you on adventures. The design of the hotel changes each year but a grand ice slide (for childlike joy) and drinks glasses made out of ice are two of the hotel's constants.
