Overlooking the fairytale ruins of an earlier 12^th -13th century castle Chateau de Frère in Fer-en- Tardenois has its own turrets like bookends at either side of the 16^th century building. Best of all it is in the Champagne region. Currently closed for refurbishment the hotel will open again in mid 2010.
