The Luxury Travel Bible - OPEN PASSPORT: Ronan Keating

OPEN PASSPORT: Ronan Keating

Add singer Ronan Keating to Hamilton Island's ever-growing list of celebrity fans.

The Irish singer visited the luxury island in Australia's Whitsundays with long-term girlfriend Storm Uechtritz and his three children, where they stayed in one of the four-bedroom Yacht Club Villas.

Hamilton Island is known as a destination for both families and couples and for offering all that is great about Australia - natural landscapes, calm turquoise waters, secluded beaches, beautiful weather, fascinating coral reefs, diverse flora and fauna.

Recalling his holiday, Ronan Keating said: 'Hamilton Island is the perfect destination ... We took the kids and they had the best time! We travel the globe & have seen some amazing places in our time, but Hamilton Island was simply stunning'.

Luxury Travel on Hamilton Island

Reflecting something that The Luxury Travel Bible has known for a long time, the Boyzone star said: 'We were spoilt by the beauty and class of Hamilton Island. It was unlike anything we'd seen before. It will be one of those fond family holidays you never forget.'
Ronan and Storm also attended the Charles Heidsieck Champagne Lunch, held at the Island's luxury resort qualia and dined on a bespoke menu by qualia's executive chef, Scottish-born Alastair Waddell who also matched the meal with fine Charles-Heidsieck wines. Ronan added: 'I'd class Hamilton Island and qualia up there with the finest in the world'.

The family were holidaying during the Audi Hamilton Island Race Week so were able to watch world-class sailing but one of their favourite activities was visiting Whitehaven Beach via seaplane (which Ronan described as being, 'breath-taking! I have never seen anything like it in the world'). Another must-do activity for the group (as it is with most tourists to Australia) was koala cuddling.
