The Luxury Travel Bible - GOURMET TRAVEL: Louis XIII Cognac Experience

GOURMET TRAVEL: Louis XIII Cognac Experience, Wiltons

Wiltons, the home of fine dining in the heart of London’s St James’s, will host an exclusive Louis XIII Cognac experience in the Jimmy Marks Private Dining Room on Tuesday, March 19th at 6:00pm.

The evening will commence with guests being served a selection of canapés accompanied with Wiltons’ own labelled champagne, followed by a five-course menu curated by Chef Daniel Kent. Each course is to be paired with a serving of the legendary Louis XIII, to showcase the versatility of this renowned cognac.

The first course comprises Beluga caviar, Potato Rosti, and Crème Fraiche; Tuna Ceviche follows, then Roast Scallop followed by Fillet of Beef Rossini. A dessert of White Chocolate Panna Cotta and Caviar will complete this special dinner.

A representative from Louis XIII will provide an informal introduction and offer insights into the brand and world of fine cognac throughout the evening. Louis XIII is produced by the Rémy Martin family and was created in 1874 as a tribute to the former King of France who reigned when the family first settled in the cognac region. Known to be one of the finest cognacs ever made, it is unique, with a taste that has stood the test of time from its first bottled decanter through the following centuries.

Since 1874 each generation of cellar master has selected the oldest and best eaux-de-vie for Louis XIII from the House’s cellars, so this legendary cognac deserves a special Wiltons event.

The exclusive Wiltons Louis XIII Dinner has limited availability and is priced at £495 per person. For bookings contact Wiltons' Solene Alexandre at [email protected]
