The athenaeum
TLTB loves to celebrate local products and the athenaeum does just that with its Afternoon Tea created with honey farmed in the centre of London, from hives in the royal parks.

The creative honey-themed menu includes finger sandwiches with Honey Roasted Ham, fresh scones and crumpets served with Regents Park Honey and pastries including Honeycomb Marquis, Honey Mille Feuille, Lavender and Honey Macaroons. A glass of honey fizz can be added to the menu and guests are given a pot of athenaeum honey to take away as a memento.

The athenaeumʼs Honey-Tea is priced at £39 for two people including a glass of honey fizz. There are 3 sittings for tea: 12:30pm, 3pm and 5:30pm daily.

Not a fan of honey? During the summer the hotel will also be serving a regal afternoon tea to celebrate the Queen's coronation and the birth of the new royal baby. In association with Ian Pelham-Turner and Helena Chard, Royal Photographers, and Royal Life magazine the hotel will host 'The Royal Child' exhibition

Guests will have a rare opportunity to view over 50 images whilst Ian and Helena provide insights into how Royal children have been brought up since Victorian times, and how the new Royal baby may be treated.

This exclusive event will take place over afternoon tea served in the athenaeum's Hyde Park room and will include royal-themed treats including coronation chicken, Victoria Sponge Cake with Royal Icing and Battenberg cake.

The Royal Child events takes place weekends until 31 August 2013 at 1.30pm - 3.00pm and 4.00pm -5.30pm. Reservations for the exhibition and afternoon tea cost £60 per person.
