The par 3 17th hole at Sawgrass is often featured on TV because it is so distinctive and beautiful - it is literally just a green almost completely surrounded by water.  At a distance of only 130 odd yards you might be forgiven for thinking it wouldn't be too hard to land your tee shot safely on the 30 yard-long green, but the swirling winds have undone many a pro and amateur alike - around 100,000 balls are retrieved from the water surrounding the green every year.
