The Dolder Grand's history dates back to 1899, when the original hotel was designed in traditional Swiss castle style. The luxury hotel boasts 173 rooms, two Michelin stars restaurants with spectacular views and a 4,000 sq meter spa. In 2004, the hotel underwent dramatic renovations, led by world-renowned architect Sir Norman Foster. Foster composed his design around the historic building, adding two modern wings on either side. With their curved contours, Foster's wings echo the surrounding landscape of rolling wooded hills. By embracing its historic origins, the Dolder Grand's style pays homage to the past while epitomizing modern luxury.
