Literature's most famous Tea Party makes for an obvious theme for an Afternoon Tea.
TLTB loves a theme and the
Sanderson, which is known for its unique design, has run with it.
'Tumble down the rabbit hole' during the 'Mad Hatters Tea Party' and choose from menus hidden inside vintage books, and napkins wrapped with riddles, while teapots adorned with kings and queens and sandwich plates featuring zebras, birdcages, carousels and ticking clocks.
The food on offer could be described as traditional-with-a-twist (Alice would approve) and includes finger sandwiches made from spinach bread, strawberries and cream homemade marshmallow mushrooms a carrot meringue served on a bed of pea shoots and a melting mango cheesecake coated in rainbow patterned white chocolate. The tea is displayed on a Phillipe Starck cake trolley which is enough to leave anyone with a Cheshire Cat Grin.
As well as being lots of fun and delicious the Mad Hatter's top table is that the menu continues to evolve and change with the seasons - all the more reason to return time and time again.
The 'Mad Hatter's Tea Party' is served daily between 12:30PM-5:30PM, £35 per person
