Surely New York is the most sung about city. It was a tough choice to pick our favourite one, but this song by Ryan Adams , which name checks NYC landmarks, sums up the fast paced nature of any city, but especially the Big Apple.
Apparently the 'New York' Ryan is talking about is his ex-girlfriend but for TLTB this song reminds us of experiencing a city and all its different aspects and diversities, and harbouring a love for it, despite being aware of its letdowns.
The official video for the song was shot in front of the Twin Towers on 7th September 2011. The song is dedicated to those who lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks.
