The slick Singapore-based hotel group Como Hotels & Resorts is in developing a new 129-room property on the Yamu peninsula of Phuket in Thailand.  Founded by Christina Ong, COMO Hotels and Resorts are known for its originality and style.  We are a big fan of what Como can concoct  (Our senior contributing editor has never been the same since she went to COMO Shambhala Estate)  although we are a little concerned that with a scheduled opening date of  September 2012 there are still no artists renderings available. Do we sense an extension coming on? No, no we have faith. Located in Phang Nga Bay on the northeast coast of Phuket, the property will be the ninth in the Como portfolio and the group’s second Thai property after the Metropolitan in Bangkok.
