Now owned by the Baglioni Hotels Group, with a one Michelin star restaurant, this castle has been the scene of much intrigue, originally owned by French lords it was then bought by a Russian prince for his mistress and Louis XV1 is also said to have stayed here. In honour of its colourful past the bedrooms are theatrically decorated in faux-medieval style with silken draped canopy beds and trope d'oeil in the bathrooms. is said to have slept in the castle, and there is a suite named after him.
