Who says that Afternoon Tea has to be unhealthy? As well as their traditional afternoon tea Browns Hotel also serves the 'Tea-Tox' menu full of deliciously sin-less treats.
Afternoon Tea at Browns Hotel, which was once enjoyed by the likes of Sir Winston Churchill and Queen Victoria, is served in the beautiful English Tea Room and the Tea-Tox seems so decadent that it can't be good for you - but it really is!
One of the most indulgent parts of the Tea-Tox tea is that guests can also indulge in a glass of champagne, without losing any of that angelic feeling. The Dosnon & Lepage, Extra-Brut Champagne on offer is lower in calories than others on the menu.
A plate of healthy savoury dishes including smoked chicken and guacamole on spelt bread and Chicory leaf with smoked mackerel and a soft-boiled quail's egg is followed by fruit skewers and a plate of sweet treats that look so amazingly mouth-watering and taste so delicious itÂ’s hard to believe they are waist-friendly.
Although, be warned; it take some SERIOUS willpower to resist the freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam when they arrive for your companion's regular tea. However, when the waitress rolled out the trolley of gorgeous home-made cakes to tempt us, TLTB's will-power really went out the window (well, we did try)!
