Luxury has come full circle for Firmdale Hotels - their latest hotel, Dorset Square Hotel, London which opened on 18th June is actually their first.
Dorset Square Hotel was Firmdale's very first luxury townhouse when it opened in 1985. It was sold in 2002 but now ten years later the hotel, on the site of the old Lords Cricket Ground in Marylebone has been reacquired. |
Back in January The Luxury Travel Bible named the boutique hotel as a 'Hot New Hotel for 2012' and now the doors are opening we are still as excited.
As to be expected from Firmdale each of Dorset Square Hotel's 38 rooms has undergone a makeover and has been designed with typical
Kit Kemp flare. With an exciting blend of bold textures, colours and decor each room has bags of personality proving that once again Kit has created luxury design worthy of any TLTB reader. Room features include Wifi, iPod docking station, safe, minibar and marble bathroom and many have views overlooking the leafy garden square below.

The luxury boutique hotel's restaurant 'The Potting Shed' will be open all day to hotel guests and members of the public for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as morning coffee, afternoon tea and cocktails. It will serve English brasserie style cuisine using locally sourced and seasonal produce. A 24-hour room service will also be on offer and will include The Potting Shed's a la carte menu, wine and cocktail list.
