Located on Lipa Noi Beach, Akatsuki resort is available for exclusive rental for up to 15 guests. Guests can take their pick from any of the resort's five suites which each have their own unique design features and are named after a Japanese element to reflect their 'zen-like nature'.

Tokyo based architect, Riccardo Tossani is the man behind the design of the resort which fuses Thai and Japanese design and creates a peaceful tone based on the philosophy of 'living with nature'. The resort is entirely built from recycled wood, and uses natural ventilation and shade.

There is no chance of any of your group getting bored at Akatsuki with plenty of on and off-site activities including an onsite spa, diving sites, boat trips, local shopping, jungle treks, yoga and golf. The resort's management and concierge team are always on hand to help plan and organise activities ranging from private beach picnics to fishing expeditions (the catch can then be cooked into a feast by the chefs). Despite its remote location and tranquillity the resort is only 20 minutes from the main shopping, entertainment and tourist attractions of Koh Samui.

Fans of luxury pools will be kept satisfied at Akatsuki. An infinity pool looking out over the Gulf of Thailand, a shallow kids' pool, a reflection pool and a plunge pool are all available to guests. The resort also has its own private beach with white sand and crystal-clear blue ocean.
