It all happened so quickly, in a bit of a blur really.

One moment I had landed in Mahé , the next I was being driven to the Eden Island Marina and within moments I was sitting onboard the beautiful Quo Vadis enjoying breakfast. Holiday mode was now fully activated.

As the crew loaded our bags into our cabins, our private chef was serving us coffee and the most delicious breakfast of fresh fruit and meats and cheeses was being laid out in front of us . We were all kicking back, donning our sunglasses, loosening our buttons and all nipping down below deck to change into shorts and T-shirts. 

While sitting and enjoying the early morning sun and taking in the sights and sounds of the Marina would be a perfectly wonderful way to spend the morning,  we were all eager to set off and start exploring the beautiful location.

The crew took us to the Sainte Anne Marine National Park, which is known for its snorkelling. From here we spent the afternoon snorkelling and swimming around the luxury Catamaran and then relaxing on board. After tiring ourselves out with an afternoon of activity the rest of our day was spent being gently rocked by the waves while napping on the deck in the sea breeze. The friendly crew were always on hand when needed to assist us and were extremely accommodating in providing cold drinks and snacks while we watched the beautiful sea birds of the Seychelles fly across the sky against the backdrop of the setting sun..

Owned and operated by Blue Safari, Quo Vadis is a 75ft luxury power catamaran, custom built by the South African based Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing. The four suites, all with en-suite bathroom, can sleep up to eight adults and feature either one king-size bed or twin single beds. It also features two cabins to accommodate Quo Vadis’ four crew members (Captain, First Mate, Deckhand & Chef).

Quo Vadis’ interiors are stylish and modern (think sleek lines and cool colours) and she features a large open plan saloon and gallery, a spacious deck and trampoline, an Aft deck with dining and BBQ area, Bridge Seating & Lounge Area. 

During our night at sea we enjoyed a delicious evening meal prepared by our private chef. One of the highlights of the evening was desert and watching the flames of the flambé bananas (with local rum, Takamaka) against the background of the clear, starry night. 

After an extremely good night’s sleep (that King Sized bed was supremely comfortable) we were heading back to the Marina for a final breakfast on board. 

As sad as I was to be leaving the luxury of Quo Vadis and the freedom that it offered, I was excited to be off on our next adventure, it was time to return back to land for our flight to Alphonse Island.
