Boutique cruise and tour operator, Golden Galapagos Cruises has announced the latest catamaran to join their luxury fleet.
Adventurous luxury travellers will now be able to explore the stunning Galapagos Islands aboard the brand-new luxury mega-catamaran, The Elite.
The twin-hulled 16-passenger Elite is 123.03 ft long and features eight ocean view suites all with spacious luxury bathrooms, personalised air conditioning controls, balconies and either a king-size bed or twin beds. Gourmet al fresco multi-course dinners will be served on the sky deck and after a hard day of cruising guests can head to the bar, the Jacuzzi sun terrace or relax in the shaded area for an outdoor BBQ.
One of the most impressive features of the bespoke, stylish interiors is the large lounge with its floor to ceiling glass windows to watch the stunning scenery go by (in case of a change in the weather!). The Elite joins Golden Galapagos Cruises’ other catamaran The Endemic which at 115ft set a new standard for luxury catamarans in the Galapagos Islands when it launched in July 2018. The Endemic was the first in the Galapagos Islands to feature panoramic ocean view suites with floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors for a more immersive experience of this stunning part of the world. Both the Elite and the Endemic were custom designed and built to cruise the waters of the ecologically sensitive Galapagos Islands, home to awe-inspiring biodiversity and multiple species of wildlife. Each Golden Galapagos Cruises vessel has a dedicated onboard Cruise Service Officer to take care of guests’ requirements, while a Naturalist Guide will create an itinerary for group excursions both on land and sea based on the activities authorised by the Galapagos National Park. Golden Galapagos Cruises promise a guest to staff ratio of almost 1:1 of ‘local well-trained, friendly and knowledgeable naturalist guides’ who will ensure memorable cruise of the beautiful Galapagos Islands. The Luxury Travel Bible Says… Congratulations to Golden Galapagos Cruises who won The Latin American Travel Association (LATA) 2019 Achievement Award for Cruise Operator of the Year. The award was in recognition of the company’s strong growth in 2018 to developing travel to Latin America and commitment to their reduction in plastic waste over a nine-month period.
