PERCHED HIGH in the hills above the Tuscan coastline sits the beautiful private luxury villa, Casa Magiona. The luxury villa has recently been renovated by the owner, and no expense has been spared on the furnishings and artwork from a local artist adorns the walls. The Luxury Travel Bible loves the blend of traditional architecture with modern Pop Art pieces. What truly makes this beautiful villa stand out is its stunning views. The floor to ceiling windows frame the beautiful vistas over the valley and the villages below. Casa Magiona can accommodate up to six guests. The villa has a beautiful open plan dining room and kitchen, which is fully equipped for guests to rustle up a classic dish (or invite a local chef to do it for you!). The two double en-suite bedrooms both have views over the countryside. The third bedroom is separate from the main villa and is accessed externally with a private outdoor patio and small kitchen area. The Luxury Travel Bible’s favourite feature of Casa Magiona has to be the terraced garden. The garden has been designed to be enjoyed by guests (probably over a bottle or two of Tuscan wine). The villa feature’s a whirlpool, hot tub and seating and dining areas. The views from the garden overlook the beautiful Italian countryside. The villa is a short walk to the village of Metato. Here, the locals offer a ‘goodwill’ cantina and an amazing restaurant with hand cooked, local fare, prepared and served in a villager’s home. Below Metato is the town of Camaiore which features shops, bars and restaurants.
