This has to be one of the magical and regal hotel openings for a while and it feels like something out of a fairy-tale.
Opening in Q1 2021 Airelles Château de Versailles, the first hotel to be located within the grounds of the Palace of Versailles, will feature 14 rooms and apartments, a signature Alain Ducasse restaurant, a spa by Valmont, and indoor swimming pool.
The hotel will be housed within three historic buildings; Le Grand Contrôle, Le Petit Contrôle and the Pavillon des première cent marches, which were built in 1681 by Louis XIV’s favourite architect, Jules-Hardouin Mansart. From Louis XV to Louis XVI’s reign the buildings functioned as the equivalent of today’s Ministry of Finance and played host to the European cultural elite. The historic properties has been lovingly renovated with the upmost respect for the original décor to create the new luxury hotel.
The most magical part of any stay at this luxury hotel is the unparalleled access grated to Versailles. Guests will be given access to private tours and have the opportunity to explore the stunning grounds before returning to their very own ‘palace’ for the evening.
